Seas of Trees Community Planting Day

Project Overview

Calling all volunteers to help plant small sapling trees for Seas of Trees Community Planting Day. This is our local Telluride planting project this summer, since we completed our third year of planting on the Demonstration forest. As we sit back and wait for that one to grow, we are moving operations to another Mesa Property where five home owners have agreed to pool their land and use their water to attempt to grow another 1,000 Trees this summer at 9,000 feet . This will add to animal habitat, wind abatement, soil enhancement, shade, and general carbon sequestration. 1,000 trees have been ordered from CSU extension. We will make a big push to get many local orgs helping to volunteer.

When and where will it be conducted?
This 3-day movement will take place on June 2-4, 2024 in Iron Springs Mesa, San Miguel County, Colorado . 11am-3pm.

How can we participate?
This activity is voluntary. You may plant as many trees with various species as you want. Any number of plantations will be very much appreciated.
